Hi Ladies,
So I don't know about you ladies but I've been kinda hesitant on protein powder Bryan drinks it after his workout but I never have. But I read an article in Women's health magazine that said you should have half of your body's weight in protein a day. I thought well I get enough protein in my diet. I use MFP (my fitness pal) and realized that I don't so I tried a recipe I found today for a protein shake, Not just any protein shake the BEST one Peanut butter chocolate protein shake. I was kinda skeptical about it but I thought well I'll give it a try. AMAZING!

what's been going on
Hi Ladies,
I've been working sooo much and trying to get my workouts in, to eat right, spend time with friends and family. To be perfectly honest I think I'm failing at all of it. Then I hear how happy my kids are and that I make my Bryan happy too and I think maybe I can be supermom??
We've finally slowed down for the minute at work so that's one thing that I don't have to worry about anymore, I truly believe you have to love what you do or you'll become resentful and angry. I LOVE MY JOB. which makes it easy to get up in the mornings and get going. My life is so crazy most of the time that going to work is like a vacation, it gives me that coming home from a long vacation feeling when I come to work. If that ever stops I'll know its time to move on. but ENOUGH about how much I love my job.
As of right now I'm at about 110 miles and I have decided to have a new challenge 500 miles!!! Am I crazy? maybe but I want to be that girl who walked 500 miles to the one she loves ;) (sorry if that song is stuck in your head now lol NOT) Corny I know but Bryan is deploying soon to Guam and I have to do something with all my free time. I also need to work towards a goal or I will never finish.
I've also been getting ready for my bestest of friend to get married, I'm planning her bachelorette party with her sister and I think we've got some really cute and fun ideas! I mean it cant be boring right??!! who knew a guest list could be the hardest thing we work on!
My kids first day of school was yesterday and I LOVE the 1st day of school, taking pictures and hearing about how exciting school was. I'm so thankful my kids love school right now cause I know soon it wont be the case. The work with get harder and their want to is going to turn into do I have to. Most of all its memories we're making after all that mean the most...

95 miles
I just realized today I'm at 95 miles on the nose, I didn't mean to do it that way it just happened. I CAN NOT believe that me, Bobbie Sue, I walked/jogged almost 100 miles in a month. I cant believe I'm about to exceed 100 miles in 3 more days. I want to cry because I'm so happy, Its sad to say but its been soo long since I finished something I started. But I was determinded and I had a great support team to help me do it.
There have been days where I didn't want to do anything, and well I didn't just flat out said NO. then there were other days where I pushed it out and went on my walks. A lot of the time they were slow walks, Hell when I started I did a mile in like 20 mins. that's a VERY slow pace but I kept thinking to myself that I was passing everyone up that was laying on the couch. I started pushing myself to be faster to get down to 19 min mile then 18 and so forth and so on, my fastest mile to date is 16:04. I know that's slow to some people but for me its a feat in itself.
I'm so proud of myself and can't wait to challenge myself again....but what will that be?? I'm not sure yet!

Feeling sexy today??
Do you ever have those days where you look in the mirror and say Whistle MAN I'M SEXY?? Well that was me today. my BIG girl jeans fit and weren't too uncomfortable. I know a lot of people would say you don't need to lose weight. You know they are probably right but I personally don't want to move up in a jean size so that's how I know its time to start doing something to make me those BIG girl pants TOO big for me to where. For me its all about making a better me for me and my family.

Aug 1st-A new challenge
Good Friday Morning Ladies,
So for the past couple of weeks I have been on a challenge to walk 100 miles in 1 month and I'm so far succeeding and that makes me feel AMAZING! So I wanted to try something else but I don't know what to try just yet. I'm playing around with the 30 day shred right now, I've tried it before and have never actually made it the 30 days :( So that's one idea I've toyed with. and right now I haven't really lost any weight even with all my miles and all my watching what I eat. which as you know is SUPER frustrating. So I decided to join this group its called Mama Laughlin's fit camp, I think I've talked about it before but I'll say it again, Its an amazing tool to help you get motivated and to sound off, ask questions and just read about real women going through the same struggle you are. Check it out on FB its wonderful. With that said my month is almost over and I will have walked my 100 miles in that time I went from walking a mile in 19 mins to walking/jogging a mile in 16 mins. I know that probably doesn't sound fast but its more the miles for me than the time, that and burning calories. Its an accomplishment and it makes me want to try the shred again. cause if I can walk for 30 to an hr twice a day for 30 days then I can do a 20 min workout once a day for 30 days. RIGHT??!!!
So I'm going to tell you all about how this next 30 days or so goes with me trying EVERYTHING under the sun to get ANY amount of weight off. (nothing crazy) I really just want to see the 130's again ANYTHING in that range would make me a happy lady.
These are my thoughts on a Friday morning, here's to hoping I dont gain 2 pounds over the weekend!

Alone time
Next week I will find out what alone time is all about. I mean I already have alone time with myself when I excerise but like for reals this time for more than an hour. What Oh what will I do with myself, that is the question I ask. I'm thinking movies and crafts maybe more pinterest stuff. Lets face it I love doing stuff from pinterest so that will probably be it. I have a few baby gifts I need to finish up for some friends of mine and catching up with my besties too ofcourse!

today has been "one of those days" but hey whatevs!
Hey ladies,
So today I woke up after pretty much not sleeping last night to a text asking how my walk was going. Did I mention I turned off my alarm?? Well I did, 20 mins later when I got that text I had already decided I wasn't going this morning, I was too tired. but of course my Bryan came through for me and got me out of bed with just sweet kind words of encouragement :) I went on my walk and now I'm at work shh don't tell anyone (we're in a down time) and I'm still exhausted from not getting any sleep but I feel better about my day cause I did my workout even though I didn't want to.
I feel like we have to find motivation where ever we can, Am I right ladies?? For me its Bryan or Pinterest and this new page I found Mama Laughlin's fit camp here's a link https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/396697357056382/ You could probably just search Mama Laughlin's fit camp on FB and find it. But the community I have found on there has gotten me pumped and ready to workout or eat better that day or whatever I feel is holding me back. I read the stories on the page and I'm lifted out of my laziness and out the door and walking or whatever I decide to do that day. with all that said I wanted to tell you about this challenge I'm doing its a weightloss challenge on the Mama Laughlin's fit camp page. I've decided that Im going to try and do the 30 day shred video ALL THE WAY THROUGH this time. I always end up stopping or getting off one day and just quitting but this time Im serious! I know its going to be hard but I know I can do all things through christ who strengthens me!! :)

Pinterest, Oh how Im in love
So every week I try and do a couple of random things from Pinterest. Being as I spend so much time pinning things I might as well do something with all of these wonderful things right??
So here are some things I've done this week:
1st- Mango Peach Moscato punch

3rd last but not least. I LOVE BIG Texas hair, and I hate those mornings where I don't have time to wash my hair but my hair is greasy and something has to happen with it right?? So I was wondering around pinterest and found a way to get a quick fix.
So here's some pics I took while giving this a shot. Keep in mind I did this at 9 pm tonight
All you have to do is roll your hair One in the front, 2 on the sides and one in the back

As you can tell I put them in and then did my nightly routine washed my face and my teeth flossed and moisturize etc. I took them out and BOOM BIG HAIR!! P.S. Give it a shot with your hair dryer

7-8 frozen mango chunks
5-6 frozen peach slices
2/3 cup Barefoot Moscato
- Place peaches and mangoes into blender add wine and blend until you get a smoothie texture. Add more fruit or wine if needed to improve texture.
- Pour into glass and garnish with a slice of peach or any fruit of your choice and enjoy!

Do I HAVE to?? (whinning child voice)
Ladies Do you ever ask yourself Do I have to?? Well that's exactly how I felt this morning, I did NOT want to get up and go for my walk or do anything really but I have a wonderful motivator (my bf) he's the best. He texts me every morning asking how my walk is going and this morning I told him I wasn't going. what does he do? He tells me that I can do it, Just get up and go, Stop being a lazy butt Bobbie Sue and just go. You know you will feel better about your day if you do. that's all the motivation I needed to drag my lazy butt out of the bed and go for my walk.
Because I got going late the rest of my morning was behind and I slipped and fell into my eye makeup. but who knows it might look ok haha I heard once if you think your make up is too dark it probably is, and that's how I feel today but I also feel pretty and good about myself for going for my walk when I asked Do I have to?? and to me that's the bees nees!

who is the girl with the weird socks??
So I'm the girl with the weird socks....
H, I'm Bobbie Sue (No need to check your eyes you read that right) I got the name from the Argyle socks that I use to wear when I went to Kenpo classes and it stuck. Also I'm a southern belle who LOVES southern food, Basically ANYTHING deep fried. I'm a mother of 2 wonderful children, who are 10 and 6. I've been trying out something new I heard on Klove last year, so I chose a word instead of a New Years resolution, (that way I wouldn't give up on it) that word IS HEALTHIER, I want to be HEALTHIER than I was a year ago. I'm not down any weight but I am down in INCHES and my blue jeans fitting and me feeling better (I felt really bad as in sick before) is worth all the Dr Pepper in the world (Formerly a HUGE Dr. Pepper addict). Don't get me wrong I still indulge in Dr. Pepper and good Chinese food and don't get me started on a nice bottle of wine, GIVE UP WINE?? I think NOT, I think I can still occasionally have wine and still lose weight at the same time. I'm not hardcore in the exercise department but I do walk everyday twice a day and I have a goal 100 miles in a month and I'm down 51 miles and 2 more weeks to go. So join me on my journey to 100 miles.
I plan on posting about random stuff kinda whatever is on my mind that day or week or what have you. So stay tuned for what's next to come :)
